Noticeboard

For all COVID related health enquiries only - please click COVID HUB for more info or dial 111 any time of day or night. Please contact the practice for all health matters not relating to COVID 19.

Due to the recent Coronavirus outbreak we will be changing our appointment system on a temporary basis from Monday 16th March 2020. Anyone calling for an appointment will be asked to leave a phone number and then called back by a GP to discuss their problem. This is to minimise exposure risks to both patients and staff. For the same reason, online booking of appointments has also been suspended.

Any appointments booked prior to this point will go ahead as planned.

To minimise the number of patients who have to come to the practice we will not be performing smears or other routine procedures such as minor surgery until the coronavirus situation stabilises

Coronavirus  - for the latest and most up to date information please see https://www.nhsinform.scot/coronavirus

See below for info on Coronavirus testing and how to self isolate if needed

Do not visit the surgery if you are unwell and have recently travelled to an area affected by the virus: please check the above website or call the surgery to discuss

RCGP Scotland Practice Team of the Year Award 2017/18

We are delighted to announce that our practice has been awarded the Royal College of General Practitioners Scotland 'Practice Team of the Year' award for 2017/18. This award has been made for our involvement in the Govan SHIP Project which helps to improve the health and social care of our patients. The Govan SHIP Project is also being undertaken by the Blue Practice Govan, The Green Practice Govan and Dr Mair and Partners Govan. We are are very proud and honoured that our work has been recognised in this way by the RCGP.

As part of the Govan SHIP Project we have been able to employ the services of an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (Mr Eden Keillar). Eden is a highly experienced physiotherapist and will be with our practice on Thursdays and Fridays. He can be seen by any of our patients from aged 14 upwards. Please speak to our reception staff if you would like to book a physiotherapy appointment directly.

Home Visits

Doctor's bagWhilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 10:00.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
