As a training practice we will normally have postgraduate trainee doctors who are in their first few years (ST1) or final year (ST3) of training. These Doctors are closely supervised and form a valuable part of our medical team

The practice nurses will see and review patients with chronic diseases, including asthma, diabetes, chronic lung disease, high blood pressure, heart disease and epilepsy. They also deal with family planning, cervical smear and women’s health issues. Travel advice and immunisation is available by appointment. |
Practice Management

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care. |

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits. |

Health Visitors

Anne Marie is one of several Health Visitors attached to our practice at any one time |
Our health visitors are based in the health centre and offer advice on health care for expectant mothers and children under 5. Dr Montgomery and the HV team run a child development clinic by appointment and there is a well baby clinic on a Monday in Elderpark Clinic from 13.30—15.30. Child Immunisations are held on the second Thursday of the month—appointments are sent by post from the Health Board. If you miss yours, please contact the health visitor. |

Eden is a highly experienced physiotherapist and will be with our practice on Thursdays and Fridays. He can be seen by any of our patients from aged 14 upwards. We are fortunate to have Gail attached to our practice as a Community Links Practitioner. Gail's role is to work with patients in order to help them address any issues or concerns in their life and to help them to find any services, supports or activities that might be of interest to them. People come to see our Links Practitioner about lots of different issues including money problems, relationships, personal issues or getting out and about and meeting people. If you'd like to speak with Gail then just ask a GP, Practice Nurse or Receptionist |
