As a training practice we will normally have postgraduate trainee doctors who are in their first few years (ST1) or final year (ST3) of training. These Doctors are closely supervised and form a valuable part of our medical team. At present we have Dr Katie Fullerton (ST3). Dr Kyle McLellan has been helping us with regular Locum shifts after completing his Training earlier this year.

The practice nurses will see and review patients with chronic diseases, including asthma, diabetes, chronic lung disease, high blood pressure, heart disease and epilepsy. They also deal with family planning, cervical smear and women’s health issues. (Please note -Vaccinations and travel advice are now managed by the health board directly) |

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care. |

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits. |

Our health visitors are based in the health centre and offer advice on health care for expectant mothers and children under 5. Dr Montgomery and the HV team run a child development clinic by appointment and there is a well baby clinic on a Monday in Elderpark Clinic from 13.30—15.30. Child Immunisations are held on the second Thursday of the month—appointments are sent by post from the Health Board. If you miss yours, please contact the health visitor. |

Mr Eden Keillar (m)
Eden Keillar works with our team as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner. Eden is a highly experienced physiotherapist who works on Tuesday Afternoons and Friday mornings in the practice. He can be seen by any of our patients from aged 14 upwards. Please speak to our reception staff if you would like to book a physiotherapy appointment. He is able to provide a really good assessment of a variety of musculoskeletal problems and can also provide steroid injections when necessary |

We are fortunate to have Emma attached to our practice as a Community Links Practitioner. Emma's role is to work with patients in order to help them address any issues or concerns in their life and to help them to find any services, supports or activities that might be of interest to them. People come to see our Links Practitioner about lots of different issues including money problems, relationships, personal issues or getting out and about and meeting people. If you'd like to speak with Emma then just ask a GP, Practice Nurse or Receptionist |
